Experience the ultimate African adventure on a 3-day Tanzania Camping Safari as you discover three of the country’s top wildlife destinations. Explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder packed with diverse wildlife, and Lake Manyara, well known for its unique tree-climbing lions and rich birdlife.
Your safari adventure starts and ends in Arusha, the heart of Tanzania’s tourism hub. We’ll meet you at your hotel or lodge for a short safari briefing either the evening before departure or on the morning of your trip before driving to Tarangire. If you need transport or accommodation in Arusha before or after your safari, we can easily arrange it for you at an extra cost.

Day 1: Zanzibar-Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Distance: 120 km – about 2 to 3 hours
Your adventure begins after breakfast, when our driver-guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha. On the way, you can make any last-minute shopping stops.
Arrive at Tarangire National Park, home to over 6,000 elephants, giant baobab trees, wildebeests, zebras, and more than 400 bird species. Enjoy a full game drive while spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and ostriches.
A packed lunch will be served inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, drive to Migombani Campsite near Lake Manyara for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Crater.

Distance: 220 km – about 2.5 hours (non-game drive time)
After an early breakfast, drive to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “8th Wonder of the World.” Descend 600 meters into the crater floor, home to over 25,000 animals, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hippos, flamingos, and hyenas.
Visit Lake Magadi, a soda lake that attracts flamingos and other water birds. Your picnic lunch will be served inside the crater. In the late afternoon, return to the campsite for dinner and overnight near Lake Manyara.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Back to Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a lush green park famous for its tree-climbing lions, pink flamingos, and large hippo pools. The park also offers breathtaking scenery with its Rift Valley escarpment and dense forests full of monkeys and birds.
After a half-day game drive, enjoy lunch and then drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends. Drop-off can be arranged at your hotel, lodge, or directly at the airport.
