Day 1 Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins today! You will be picked up by our driver from your hotel in Zanzibar and driven to the airport for your flight to Arusha Airport. You will fly for an hour in a small plane to Arusha.

Your guide will pick you up from Arusha Airport and drive for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park. The park is well-known for its large elephant herds and abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent).

From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and Tarangire River which is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs and elephants. Later, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater Back to Arusha – Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Fed by a year-round water supply and rich vegetation, the crater is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and African elephants.

One of the main highlights of this beautiful area is its high concentration of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be difficult to spot without the help of an experienced guide. During the game drive, you will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the southwest part of the crater. It attracts large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.
