Day 1: Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins early in the morning with a scheduled flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and depart in a private 4x4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof for a scenic drive of approximately two hours to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, warthogs, and a wide variety of bird species, particularly along the Tarangire River, the park’s main wildlife attraction. After a rewarding day of game viewing, you will drive to your lodge located inside Tarangire National Park, where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and listen to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Tarangire Game Drive – Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour & Maasai Visit
After breakfast, enjoy a guided morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, offering another opportunity to spot wildlife in the cool morning hours. Following the game drive and lunch, depart Tarangire and travel toward Mto wa Mbu, one of Tanzania’s most culturally diverse villages, where more than 120 tribes live together. In Mto wa Mbu, you will experience a guided cultural tour, visiting local homes, farms, banana plantations, and markets.
You will also have the chance to taste traditional foods, including locally brewed banana beer, while learning about daily village life. Later in the afternoon, continue to a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. Learn about Maasai customs, cattle culture, traditional houses (manyattas), and warrior traditions. Enjoy traditional Maasai songs and dances, including the famous jumping dance, offering deep insight into Tanzania’s living heritage. In the evening, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations. The crater floor supports a dense population of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, and, if lucky, the rare black rhino. Enjoy a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the crater, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and dramatic volcanic walls. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha, where you will catch your return flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari.
