15 Day Tanzania Wildlife Photography Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport or your hotel in Arusha, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a short briefing about your photographic safari, you will be transferred to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, Tarangire offers excellent photographic opportunities. Enjoy an afternoon game drive spotting wildlife such as zebras, impalas, gazelles, waterbucks, and diverse birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Roika Lodge.

Day 3: Full-Day Wildlife Photography in Tarangire

Spend the entire day exploring Tarangire National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Capture stunning images of elephants, hartebeests, gazelles, oryx, zebras, and other plains game against the dramatic savannah backdrop. Return to Tarangire Roika Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at the historic Olduvai Gorge en route. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater to explore Lake Magadi and photograph abundant wildlife, including rhinos, lions, buffalo, elephants, zebras, flamingos, and cheetahs. Dinner and overnight at Karatu Tented Lodge.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Central Serengeti National Park.

Following breakfast, continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the vast plains, home to the Big Five and countless other species. Days 6–7: Serengeti National Park Wildlife Photography

Enjoy two full days of photography-focused game drives in the Serengeti. Morning and afternoon drives provide exceptional chances to photograph lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and antelope species. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp.

Day 8: Central Serengeti National Park to Western Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, journey to the Western Serengeti, passing through endless savannah landscapes rich in wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before arriving at Mbalageti Serengeti Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Days 9–10: Western Serengeti National Park Exploration

Day 14: Lake Manyara to Arusha National Park

Day 15: Departure
